Changing your password...

...on our cloud platforms is quite straight forward. First, determine the services you have with us. These instructions relate to our Server 2008 r2 platforms. For other platforms, refer to that Forum Post.

The easiest way to change your password, is when you are logged into your server. Once logged in, follow these instructions:

1. Click the Start Button and select the Windows Security Option.

2. When the Windows Security screen comes up select the "Change a Password..." option.

3. This will present you with the Change password screen. Enter your current password and then enter your new password (and confirm it.

Once you are done, click the Arrow button to confirm the change. Please remember that if you are using any of our other services such as Email (Exchange), SharePoint etc, then this password change will impact those accounts as well. (You may be prompted for a password on your Phone, Outlook etc.).

Password Requirements

Secure-ISS have a password policy in place which include minimum length and character requirements. When setting your password please be sure that it meets the following criteria:

  • Not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters

  • Be at least seven (7) characters in length

  •  Contain characters from three of the following four categories:

  • English uppercase characters (A through Z)

  • English lowercase characters (a through z)

  • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)

  • Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
